Non-PFP: the earliest digital artwork by @DHWartist
Disappointingly late to NFTs (2021), DHW has been fortunate to be early to digital art (1986), PFP-generators (2003), and Bitcoin Ordinals (2023).
DHW's earliest digital artwork ('computer graphics' in the terminology of the time) was created on what is now archaic computer systems including the IBM PC-AT (DOS-based pre-windows), so he needed to learn DOS code.
The following images have existed solely on film since the 1980s, so in September 2024 DHW decided to scan and inscribe them as Ordinals on Bitcoin to preserve them before they are lost forever.
From 1990 DHW had access to much better CGI kit including Silicon Graphics workstations with Wavefront 3D and Quantel (Graphic) Paintbox and more, at which point he was able to produce much better artwork, typically for TV broadcasters or ad agencies (See his TV co work here). Most of DHW's pre-millennium work is lost (discarded by his ex-wife), but he still has one or two on film, so may add to this section.

Lotus Esprit, DHW's very first attempt at computer graphics - includes an authentic 80's neon/laser grid.
The kit DHW used was limited to 16 colours along with limited functionality, so it was hard to be accurate. This image demonstrates that by the bucket-load.
